Programs and Services Education and Information Dissemination - Conducts trainings, seminars, workshops, and conferences to professionals, parents, caregivers, and mental health advocates on different and current mental health issues. - Spearheads the celebration of National Mental Health Week and World Mental Health Day every October. Participants will be given an orientation on PMHA programs and services and a tour of the office to see PMHA facilities. The will be also given an opportunity to interact with the clients. date of visit. - Mental health materials such as brochures, flyers, leaflets, and posters are distributed to professionals, partner agencies, students, and other members of the community. - The Association has a bi-annual newsletter FOCUS on
MENTAL HEALTH, which is given to its regular members
and benefactors. Articles on current trends, issues and latest
researches on mental health are published in this newsletter. The Associate Editor YOUTH LIFE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM Lusog Isip ng Kabataan (LINK) CLUB - Train Filipino youths towards responsible leadership with a
strong commitment to promote the cause of mental health in their

societies of various colleges/universities in the Philippines.

9:00 to 5:00 p.m. - Aims to provide evidence-based information through its conduct of research that will serve as a basis for policy and program development of the Association as well as partner agencies in government and non-government organization. - Research studies conducted by the association: The study showed the significance of psychosocial intervention in the treatment and rehabilitation of mental health consumers (psychiatric patients). This paper described and reported the progress made by mental health consumers who have attended the psychoeducation program at the Philippine Mental Health Association. Family Adaptation to Mental Illness: Burden and Resilience in Care Giving (2006) The study identified the demands for caring a mentally ill member, capabilities (resources and coping behaviors) utilized by the family to adapt to the demands of caring for a mentally ill member and meanings the family attributes to mental illness and to its capabilities in adopting to it. Mental Health Situation of Adolescents in Selected Public High Schools in the Philippines (2007) The study described the overall mental health situation of adolescents in three selected public high schools in different cities in the Philippines. The study also revealed what the adolescents perceived as their mental health concerns. |
